The title just about sums it all up :) I can't seem to ever just leave things as they are around the holidays. I have moved things around, switched things up by adding to the living room tree!
A little changes here and a little additions there..All in the name of Christmas and Holiday cheer!
Many blessing to all and Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

Christmas Home Tour!
Welcome to our Christmas Home Tour! I have been busy, busy shuffling things around to make this Holiday a nice happy one even thou I'm not exactly in the "Mood" don't get me wrong I am so happy to celebrate the season we give thanks and celebrate Jesus and his birth, I'm just missing my oldest son this year because it will be the first since his birth we haven't celebrated the Holidays as a family. Between his work and heavy class schedule, he is unable to come here for the Holidays. So without further ado here is my home tour :)
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you with all his glory!

Monogram pallet wood frames
Welcome, I wanted to share a pallet wood project with you all! This is a first for my husband and I. We were a little apprehensive about using pallet wood because we heard all the horror stories of how difficult it can be to work with. But who can pass up FREE wood :)
After the boards were joined and the outer frame was attached I used dark walnut stain to stain the front and sides of the pallet frames.
Here is the finished product. My husband used a shim on the front of the frame and drilled a hole at the top of the letters to mount them and keep them from moving..
We took these wonderful monogram letters we found at Hobby Lobby that used to hang on our sons wall in our old house and dressed them up for their rooms here in our new house.
My husband used 1/2 of a pallet to build 2 frames- a 1 1x2 to frame it out-Each board was joined using a Kreg-Jig

It can be a little difficult to remove the boards from the pallet frame, but when you get that first one off and get the hang of it, it goes pretty smoothly. We will definitely work with pallets more now that we know the how too's and not to mention the fact that it is FREE :)
I'm excited to link up with My Love 2 Create for the sCrap Wood Challenge. Head on over by following the link and check out the other wonderful projects that have been added for the challenge and check out her wonderful creative blog!

So much to be thankful for!
With it being a little over a week until Thanksgiving, I thought it was a perfect time to say what I am thankful for.
I am thankful for:
1. Our heavenly father and Jesus Christ.
2. My family.
3. Religious Freedom.
4. Those who share and teach the gospel.
5. This great nation.
6. The US Military.
7. Doctors. Nurses, Firefighters and Police.
8. Teachers.
9. Volunteers.
10. Our Home.
I am thankful for so many much more, but I don't think it's necessary to list every single one.
It's important to be thankful and humble and remember why we celebrate Thanksgiving!
So because I don't have any projects to post as of right now I am going to share daily up until Thanksgiving eve a photo of something I am thankful for :)
Today I am thankful for our backyard visitors...

Welcome to Our Farmhouse
I know I know, it's not a real farmhouse, and it never will be, but it can have that look and feel of a farmhouse with a little TLC and farmhouse wares!
There is currently about a foot and a half of snow on the ground making it look like a winter wonder land. Before the snow fell I did have the chance to add some fall decor outside.
Thank you for stopping by

It was bound to happen!
A name change was in order and I hope I got it right. Even thou we don't currently live in a farmhouse, my heart and decor screams Farmhouse. I am a little cottage, country but Farmhouse makes my heart sing! I am happy with my choice :) To see what our past homes "Military Quarters" looked like please check out my Pinterest link: Our Quaters

New state, new house, new look!
With the changes that we have been through over the past several months and not being extremely excited about our current quarters, I have decided to make some changes personally and with the style of our home.
Our home is a mixture between country, country cottage and a twist of french! With the mixture of those styles I feel like it's a mish-mash of styles and not really "me" so with that I am going full speed ahead and making this house more my style. I plan on going full farmhouse with that french element that I love so much! Is there a name change in this little blogs future? I have no idea. So if you haven't given up on me just yet, please hang tight, I'll be back!
Until then, here is a picture of what our scenery is at the moment :)
Baby it's cold outside ;)

To blog or not to blog that is the question!
Corny title I know, but sense our move and trying to get settled in I have been wondering if blogging is really right for me! I deleted all my old post because I wanted to completely erase my blogging history and decide if I would do another post or not, so I gave it a few days and here I am. I'm not giving up on blogging, but I am going to be doing it in a different way than I did before.
If anyone is out there that reads my little blog I hope you stick around for the changes and continue to follow me!
Many blessings,
~Donna
